Rust-Oleum has launched its first ever wall paint in a range of 16 classic colours.

The paint manufacturer is well-known for its extensive range of furniture paint, perfect for all DIY upcycling projects around the home. But now, with the launch of its chalk-derived wall paint, households can achieve a luxurious, modern matt finish for interior walls and ceilings.

While there is no doubt that neutrals, including the ever-versatile grey, will be popular hues, we love the rich and creamy Duck Egg just as much as the soft and dusky China Rose, and we're pretty fond of the calming Powder Blue, too.

Looking to redecorate your living room or the hallway? The Chalky Finish Wall Paint boasts a 'scrubbable, stain resistant formula for exceptional performance in high and low traffic areas', making it ideal for rooms that take wear and tear.

The Class 1 scrub rating means it has the highest abrasion resistance and clean-ability, so essentially it allows for repetitive cleaning without affecting the painted finish for up to 10,000 scrubs. Although we hope no walls will ever have to go through that amount of cleaning!

Rather importantly though, the water-based paint has virtually no odour, and it can be applied directly to most surfaces including plaster, brick and concrete.
